My Spring Beauty Picks + Sephora Rouge Sale

Happy Monday, dears! You are being forwarned: this is going to be a lengthy post!

One of my absolute favorite sales of the year has arrived! Sephora's Spring Beauty Insider Event is one of the two yearly Sephora sales that I eagerly await--it's the time I try new products or replenish long-time favorites. Because it is rare for high-end beauty and skincare to go on sale, it's the perfect time to stock up!

If you are not already, I would recommend signing up to be a Sephora Beauty Insider and start collecting points (there’s no cost or catch to signing up). The reason it's so awesome is because you can earn points with every purchase. When I check out in store, I give them my cell and collect points with each purchase. They have gifts for different points – if you have 100 points, you have small gift options and then with 500 points, you have larger gift options. You also get a really great birthday gift! Aside from that, Sephora does a Beauty Insider Event a couple of times a year and Beauty Insiders get early access and a discount (which this post is dedicated toward)!

For Rouge, the sale starts April 26 and they will receive 20% off. For VIB, the sale starts May 2 and they will receive 15% off. Insiders are able to shop the sale on May 2 and will receive 10% off. To help you shop the sale, I've linked all my favorites, by category. They're long-time go-tos or new obsessions that I've been loving recently. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to email or IG DM me!

Happy shopping! Kisses, Besos, Pupici!

The beginning of any great makeup look is good skincare. Since turning 25, I started taking my skincare routine more seriously and really caring about what my skin needed. Now, my makeup (and skin) has (have) never looked better!

To start, I always take my makeup off with the Clinique makeup remover oil and then follow up with the Fresh soy face cleanser and Foreo Luna (double cleansing is a must, especially when trying to remove layers of makeup). Once I am done cleansing, I follow up with the Clinique toner in #3 and then moisturize with Tatcha water serum and rose quartz roller (I use the roller to massage the serum all over my face). If I need extra moisturization, I follow up with the Tatcha water cream. For my eyes, I have been recently loving the Sunday Riley eye cream--it is light and helps with brightening and deputing. When I want extra boost, I use the Tatcha illuminating treatment for instant brightening, and it works wonders.

For exfoliation, I use the Tatcha rice polish, which is phenomenal for removing dead skin cells and any buildup. To give me a deeper cleanse and for minimizing my pores, I use the Glam Glow Supermud mask (this stuff is the BOMB DOT COM; both Parker and I use it). Once a month, I also like to shave my face with the face razor--it works really well to exfoliate and you will notice a HUUUUUGE difference in your makeup application. I promise you, you're foundation and highlighter will never look the same!

Other items I have been loving include the Tatcha gold spun lip balm to moisturize my lips and the Vital Proteins collagen, which I add either to my coffee or morning smoothie.

Primers, Foundations & Setting Sprays

After skincare, the most important step in order to have your makeup last through the day is primer! Different primers do different things, but I generally look for primers that are more natural, with clean ingredients. Since primer is the first layer that sits on the skin it acts as a barrier for everything else that comes after it. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer; it smooths pore and evens out texture, as well makes your foundation last throughout the day. It is on the pricier size, but you pay for what you get! All my friends who have used it agree it's the best. If you want to try it out, you can get the travel size to experiment with it before you take the plunge. Close seconds are the YSL and Huda Beauty primers for the same exact reasons. Also, the Huda Beauty primer smells DIVINE.

I've experimented with a great deal of foundation through the years and there are a lot of good options out there! The best full-coveregae foundation, hands down, is the Estee Lauder Double Wear; it is matte and will last you for two days--when i've traveled for 24 hours and stayed up through the night, it was flawless the day after! Seriously, THE BEST. For a more luminous, medium-coverage foundation, I love the DIOR Forever Skin Glow--it adds just the right amount of luminosity and is last all day. If you want to take the dewiness to the next level, you can add the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, which will really make your highlight pop and give you a very youthful appearance. Two other foundations I really love for day-to-day are the Fenty Beauty foundation and it Cosmetics CC cream. They are great everyday foundations and the Fenty Beauty has so many shade ranges, I am perfectly matched all times of the year. I love how the CC cream also contains SPF, so it's a great option if you are spending your day outdoors. If your foundation does not have SPF, I always recommend using some type of sun protection either on top (as a setting spray) or under your makeup as a primer. I recommend the Tatcha sunscreen primer and/or the Kate Somerville setting spray

For full-coverage, I absolutely love the Huda Beauty concealer. It blends really well and a little goes a long way! Honestly, I always find myself reaching for this particular one and is the one I always travel with. If I want a more luminous finish, the it Cosmetics illumination concealer is amazing. For everyday wear, medium coverage, I recommend the Laura Mercier and Nars concealers--they've been longtime favorites and have always been the trusty go-tos.

These setting powers are both so good that you can't go wrong either way! I am currently loving the Huda Beauty setting powder because it comes in several shades and I love the extra brightening under my eyes. Laura Mercier translucent setting powder is such a classic and so good! I have both and often interchange between the two.

Recently, I've been reaching for my Charlotte Tilbury contouring palette--it's perfect everyday and I will often use the shade color in my eye crease, as well. This is also the one I travel with--it's small and it has both highlight and contouring all-in-one.

If I am going to a special occasion or want a darker contour, I will use the CT Hollywood wand and the Kat Von D Shade & Light palette because I have a wider range of colors. The wand help when I need my makeup to stay on for hours or when it's humid outside. By going in with liquid contour and then setting with powder contour, my contour will stay in place better and longer.

Blushes & Bronzers

The only bronzer I've been using for months is this Too Faced Milk Chocolate bronzer--it's perfectly blendable and is the best shade for my skin tone. I also use  in the crease for dimension when I want a warmer tone.

The Nars blushes (liquid and powder form) I linked below are classics that I've used for years. When I want long-lasting blush, I use the liquid blush and then follow up by setting with the powder. It lasts through any occasion, even in the most humid environments. Both are in the shade "orgasm."

For everyday blushes, I have been using the Tarte blush (in shade "paaarty")--it's the perfect rosy pink. When I want a more peachy pink shade, I use the Too Faced blush in shade "Love Hangover." Both are subtle and beautiful and have great staying power!

All of the palettes I linked are great for summer and spring and year round! Recently, I ave been switching between the Tarte Tartlette palette, the Nars Wanted palette, and the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Sultry palette. If you love everyday neutral mattes, the Tartlette palette is a classic and will be your go-to for any occasion! I personally love adding shimmer and pops of color and the Wanted and Sultry palettes have plenty of shimmery sahdes to choose from.

For summertime and fall, I love the shades found in the Urban Decay Heat palette. They're perfect when you want to add some spice to your look.

For extra glitter, I LOVE the Stila glitter shadows--I use it in the shades Kitten Karma and Diamond Dust. I get SO many compliments when I use these in my makeup routine.

These two babies are my absolute go-tos for brows--the Benefit brow pencil is the perfect shade for brows and it glides on effortlessly. It's precise and thin enough that I can mimic individual hairs. I used to use the Anastasia brow wiz, but found it too brittle (it often broke) and the shades to be either too light or too dark. Once I shade my brows in, I like to set the hairs in place with the Anastasia brow gel

Mascara & Lashes

For mascara, I've been loving the Lancome primer and the Monsieur Big mascara--it makes for the most perfect, voluminous lashes. Anyone I've recommended the primer to has absolutely loved (even for those with stick straight lashes). It truly makes all the difference. I've also been loving the BADgal Lash mascara--the big brush gets to all my lashes and it's perfect when I am wanting to move quickly and am on the go.

All that know me know I rave about the Huda Beauty falsies and lash glue--they're the best, in my opinion. For everyday, I wear the Samantha lashes (they look SO natural) and when I want a little more vavoom, I wear the Farah lashes.

During spring and summer, my favorite shades to wear are nudes and light mauves. My go-to lately has been the CT Kim K.W. lipstick--it's got a little shine to it, but when I want a little more, I add the Becca gloss in Rose Quartz (though this gloss has a little pink in it, it is barely noticeable). Really, I 've been adding this to all my lipsticks to add shine. I also love the CT lipstick in the shade "Pillowtalk"--thank goodness they made turned the cult classic lip pencil into a lipstick (it's the perfect shade for any skin tone)! My other two go-tos are the Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Ludwig (nude fawn) and Kat Von D lipstick in Lolita (satin-matte chestnut rose)--both of these are so pretty and long-lasting (but not drying, at all).

One of my absolute favorite body care brands is Kopari! My favorite part is that the use clean, non-toxic ingredients. Kopari’s coconut oil is a skin win. It has the highest fatty acid concentration of any oil on the planet. The good fats that soak into the skin and lock in moisture. It is also one of the only oils to contain lauric acid, which is antibacterial and antimicrobial, helping fight inflammation and keeping redness at bay.

Kopari's natural coconut deodorant glides on clear and smells like fresh coconut milk. This non-toxic deodorant is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without aluminum, baking soda, and silicone. Another Kopari favorite favorite is their scrub, which I love to use before I apply my tanner. It gently exfoliates, but it also leaves the skin feeling moisturized. Seriously, LOVE Kopari so much!

I recently started using the Murad acne wash, which I apply to my back and let sit for a while. I have noticed a huge difference. I break out around my bra strap area and nothing I tried before seemed to work, but now my blemishes have started clearing up.

Other favorites include the Sol de Janerio body wash and Coco Cabana cream. Brazilian 4 Play shower gel is infused with addictive pistachio-caramel fragrance that literally has the power to transport you to the Brazilian coast. The Coco Cabana cream has literally been my obsession recently! This is the go-to for dry skin because it is enriched with a coconut-sugar blend of fermented sugar and coconut oil. What I love most about this cream is that it's not heavy or greasy--it has more of a water gel consistency (similar to the Tatcha water cream). The scent is also SO intoxicating!

Another favorite I wanted to share with you is the Fenty Beauty body shimmer--I love using it after I tan, especially during the summer--use it on your décolletage, shoulders and legs for a perfect, dewy glow!

These two combos have been long-time favorites of mine! They use clean, organic ingredients and my tan lasts for weeks! On my face, I use the Coola anti-aging serum and for the rest of my body I use the Vita Liberata mousse in shade Dark (always with a mitt). End result is a healthy, sun-kissed glow!

The T3 curling wands and irons are hands down the best! I currently use both the 1.25" clip barrel and 1" wand to add dimension to my curls. It can go up can go up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit, but I haven't needed to go past the third setting. Because of my extensions, blow drying often takes a reaaaaaally long time, but the T3 hair dryer makes drying much faster and easier, and it also keeps my hair healthy.

In terms of products, my absolute favorites are the DryBar Triple Sec texturizer for volume and body and the IGK charcoal Detox dry shampoo. When I use both of these, in combination, my hair has the BEST volume! It also smells delicious and looks so fresh!

Ok, let me just say that I know how hard it is to buy perfumes through your screen, but anything you purchase from Sephora can be taken back, even if it was used a couple times to try it! That being said, I have linked my absolute go-tos for summer and two of my favorite "powerful" scents that I wear when I want to feel extra confident and get the job done! LOL

Currently, my favorites have are the two scents (Not a Perfume and Mmmm...) linked below from Juliette has a gun--they're unique, clean, and refreshing. These perfumes are never overpowering and I love that this brand is available only though  a limited distribution in concept stores, department stores, and specialized perfumeries. If you're looking for a unique scent that can't be found on everyone, these are your go-tos!

Atelier Cologne is another unique brand of scents and I'm absolutely obsessed with the Cedre Atas perfume. It's woodsy, crisp, and clean--it reminds me of asalty beach day.

Another long-time summer favorite is the Versace Bright Crystal--while it is lightly floral, this is a very is a fresh, clean blend.

My two power scents are the Chanel COCO MADEMOISELLE (a classic!) and the Tom Ford Noir (it's powerful and daring and contains notes of mandarin oil, rose absolute, jasmine accord, orange flower,  vanilla madagascar, amber, and Australian sandal wood).
