Sephora Spring Sale: My Go-To Beauty Products

Happy Friday, you guys!

One of my absolute favorite sales of the year has arrived! Woohoo! Sephora's Spring Savings Event is one of the two yearly Sephora sales that I eagerly await--it's the time I try new products or replenish long-time favorites. Because it is rare for high-end beauty and skincare to go on sale, it's the perfect time to stock up!

If you are not already, I would recommend signing up to be a Sephora Beauty Insider and start collecting points (there’s no cost or catch to signing up). The reason it's so awesome is because you can earn points with every purchase. When I check out in store, I give them my cell and collect points with each purchase. They have gifts for different points – if you have 100 points, you have small gift options and then with 500 points, you have larger gift options. You also get a really great birthday gift! Aside from that, Sephora does a Beauty Insider Event a couple of times a year and Beauty Insiders get early access and a discount (which this post is dedicated toward)!

Happy shopping! Kisses, Besos, Pupici!

The beginning of any great makeup look is good skincare. Since turning 25, I started taking my skincare routine more seriously and really caring about what my skin needed. Since moving to Las Vegas, my skin has been having some challenges, so I will be adding some new skincare products in my cart this time around. Below, you will find my long-time favorites that have worked so well for me! Favorite skincare brands from Sephora include Tatcha and Laneige.

Primer, Foundation, Concealer & Setting Spray

After skincare, the most important step in order to have your makeup last through the day is primer! Different primers do different things, but I generally look for primers that are more natural, with clean ingredients. Since primer is the first layer that sits on the skin, it acts as a barrier for everything else that comes after it. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer; it smooths pore and evens out texture, as well makes your foundation last throughout the day. It is on the pricier side, but you pay for what you get! All my friends who have used it agree it's the best. If you want to try it out, you can get the travel size before you take the plunge.

I've experimented with a great deal of foundation through the years and there are a lot of good options out there! The best full-coveregae foundation, hands down, is the Estee Lauder Double Wear; it is matte and will last for two days (no joke!)--when I traveled for 24 hours and stayed up through the night, it was flawless the day after! Seriously, THE BEST. For a more luminous, medium-coverage foundation, I love the DIOR Forever Skin Glow--it adds just the right amount of luminosity and it will last all day. If you want to take the dewiness to the next level, you can add the Farsali skin mist, which will really make your highlight pop and make your makeup seamless.  Recently, I've gravitated away from full-coverage matte foundation. As I get older, I have found that less is more. My two current favorites are the Armani Luminous Silk and the DIOR Forever Skin Glow. Also worth noting that that when I want minimal makeup, but still like just a little coverage, I love the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. This works really well to blur and give your skin a little tint, while also providing awesome SPF.

For full-coverage concealer, I absolutely love the Huda Beauty concealer. It blends really well and a little goes a long way! Honestly, I always find myself reaching for this particular one and is the one I always travel with. However, if you have drier or mature skin, you may want to try something different--the Nars or Laura Mercier concealers are great options for less drying, medium coverage concealers.

These setting powers are all so good, so you can't go wrong either way! I am currently loving the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. It gives the skin such an airbrushed look and makes concealer and foundation set together seamlessly. The Laura Mercier and Huda beauty setting powders are also both amazing and have performed amazingly for me through the years.

Contouring, Highlighter & Blush

I've loved the Charlotte Tilbury contouring palette for a long while--it's perfect for everyday and I will often use the shade color in my eye crease, as well. This is also the one I travel with--it's small and it has both highlight and contouring, all-in-one.

Recently, I've been incorporating a cream contour stick to my routine and it definitely helps my contouring last longer. I love how easy and fast the application is with Anastasia contour stick. I use the shade "Fawn" and it's the perfect cool, shaded tone for my skin.

For highlighters, I love the Becca Champagne Pop and the Fenty Beauty Hu$tla Baby highlight--they can be used as an everyday highlight or use you can use several layers for a brighter glow! I like to use the Becca Pearl highlighter for the inner corner of my eye!

The Nars blush (liquid form) I linked below is a classic that I've used for years. When I want long-lasting blush, I use the liquid blush and then follow up by setting with the same shade in the powder blush. It lasts through any occasion, even in the most humid environments.

For everyday blushes, I have been using the Tarte blush (in shade "paaarty")--it's the MOST PERFECT SHADE. It's subtle and beautiful and has great staying power.

The palettes I linked are great for summer and spring and year round! Recently, I have been consistently using the Tarte Tartlette In Bloom palette. If you love everyday neutral mattes, the Tartlette In Bloom palette is a classic and will be your go-to for any occasion! I love the combination of mattes and shimmers.

The Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes are great travel with and if you are one who generally sticks within a specific color range.

For extra glitter, I LOVE the Stila glitter shadows--I use these shadows in the shades Kitten Karma and Diamond Dust. I get SO many compliments when I use these in my makeup routine.

An amazing and cost-effective duo are the SEPHORA COLLECTION brow pencil and clear brow gel--these are the only two options I've been using! At $12 a piece, you can't beat the deal and the quality is pretty much the same to Anastasia or Benefit products.

Mascara, Liner & Lashes

For primer & mascara, I've been loving the Lancome primer and the Nars mascara--it makes for the most perfect, voluminous lashes. Anyone I've recommended the primer to has absolutely loved (even for those with stick straight lashes). It truly makes all the difference.

For liner, I love the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner--it has great staying power and is super black!

All that know me know I rave about the Huda Beauty falsies and lash glue--they're the best, in my opinion. For everyday, I wear the Samantha lashes (they look SO natural) and when I want a little more vavoom, I wear the Farah lashes.

During spring and summer, my favorite shades to wear are nudes, light mauves, and subtle pinks. My go-to lately has been the CT Kim K.W. lipstick--it's got a little shine to it, but when I want a little more, I add either the Becca gloss in Rose Quartz (though this gloss has a little pink in it, it is barely noticeable) or the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. Really, I've been adding lipgloss as a topper to many lipstick. Moisture is just that much more appealing to me in the desert.

I also love the CT lipstick in the shade "Pillowtalk"--thank goodness they made the cult classic lip pencil into a lipstick (it's the perfect shade for any skin tone)! My other favorites are the Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Ludwig (nude fawn) and Kat Von D lipstick in Lolita (satin-matte chestnut rose)--both of these are so pretty and long-lasting! Too Faced Melted matte lipsticks are also great options for long staying power. I've actually added a few shades to my cart.

One of my absolute favorite body care brands is Kopari! My favorite part is that the use clean, non-toxic ingredients. Kopari’s coconut oil is a skin win. It has the highest fatty acid concentration of any oil on the planet. It is also one of the only oils to contain lauric acid, which is antibacterial and antimicrobial, helping fight inflammation and keeping redness at bay.

Kopari's natural coconut deodorant glides on clear and smells like fresh coconut milk. This non-toxic deodorant is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without aluminum, baking soda, and silicone. Another Kopari favorite favorite is their scrub, which I love to use before I apply my tanner. It gently exfoliates, but it also leaves the skin feeling moisturized. Seriously, LOVE Kopari so much!

Other favorites include the Sol de Janerio body wash and Coco Cabana cream. Brazilian 4 Play shower gel is infused with addictive pistachio-caramel fragrance that literally has the power to transport you to the Brazilian coast. The Coco Cabana cream has literally been my obsession recently & I added a couple to my cart. This is the go-to for dry skin because it is enriched with a coconut-sugar blend of fermented sugar and coconut oil. What I love most about this cream is that it's not heavy or greasy--it has more of a water gel consistency. The scent is also SO intoxicating!

This threesome has been an absolute win for me! After I exfoliate I go in with a combination of St. Tropez foam Extra Dark and Classic all over my body (about once a week). On my face, I use the COOLA anti-aging serum. To maintain my tan throughout the week, I use the COOLA sunless tan firming lotion. This combo has worked for me through the years. I typically apply the tanning foam in the morning and wash it off at night. If I happen go to sleep in it, it washes off my sheets completely, without any staining or residue.

The T3 curling wands and irons are hands down the best! I currently use both the 1.25" clip barrel and 1" wand to add dimension to my curls. It can go up can go up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit, but I haven't needed to go past the third setting. Since taking our my extensions I haven't really used a hair dryer, but when I do, the T3 hair dryer makes drying much faster and easier.

In terms of products, my absolute favorites are the DryBar Triple Sec texturizer for volume and body and the IGK charcoal Detox dry shampoo. When I use both of these, in combination, my hair has the BEST volume! It also smells delicious and looks so fresh!

Ok, let me just say that I know how hard it is to buy perfumes through your screen, but anything you purchase from Sephora can be taken back, even if it was used a couple times to try it! That being said, I have linked my absolute go-tos for summer (mainly clean & fresh scents) and two of my favorite "powerful" scents that I wear when I want to feel extra confident and get the job done! LOL

Currently, I use these three interchangeably: Moscow Mule, Mmmm..., and also my newest addition by Tom Ford, Mandarino Di Amalfi)They're unique, clean, and refreshing. These perfumes are never overpowering, but will stay on throughout the day.

Atelier Cologne is another unique brand of scents! I'm absolutely obsessed with the scents Cedre Atas (it's woodsy, crisp, and clean) and Clementine California (fresh and fruity; it's the perfect summer scent that evokes all the beauty vibes).

Another long-time summer favorite is the Versace Bright Crystal--while it is lightly floral, this is a very fresh, clean blend.

My two power scents (very different class of perfumes from the ones above) are the Chanel COCO MADEMOISELLE (a classic!) and the Tom Ford Noir (it's powerful and daring and contains notes of mandarin oil, rose absolute, jasmine accord, orange flower,  vanilla madagascar, amber, and Australian sandal wood).
